A weekly roundup of contest, show, and challenge news from cover dance scenes around the world. This week: the crew that conquered the U.S. qualifier, the massive stage heating up LA in August, and the World Final heading to Seoul this fall.
At the 2026 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival in USA, held May 23 on a special stage at LA LIVE, After Dark, a seven-member female crew from Salt Lake City, Utah, took the title. Covering Kep1er's "YUM" in pink outfits and fur boots, they won over the judges with razor-sharp formations and sweeping movement. Their comeback story added to the buzz: champions in 2024, third place last year, and now back on top. After Dark will represent the U.S. at the World Final in Seoul this fall.
