NMIXX is a six-member girl group under JYP Entertainment that debuted on February 22, 2022 with "O.O." Built around an identity they call "MIXXPOP" — abrupt genre shifts within a single song — the group earned a reputation for the live skill needed to pull off such demanding arrangements. Praised by music critics as "vocal powerhouses," their strength is in singing, and they represent the fourth generation alongside IVE, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, and BABYMONSTER.
The unconventional structure of the debut track "O.O" was polarizing, but by proving stable live performances time after time, NMIXX settled in as a "trust-the-live" group. The official fandom name NSWER combines North, South, East, West with "Route," meaning they search for the answer and the way together with fans. Their symbolic animals are the whale and the dolphin.
| Member | Position | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Haewon | Leader, Main Vocal | The steady voice leading the team |
| Lily | Main Vocal | From Australia; explosive high notes |
| Sullyoon | Visual, Sub Vocal | The face of the group |
| Bae | Main Dancer, Rapper | Combines performance and rap |
| Jiwoo | Lead Dancer, Sub Vocal | Bright command of the stage |
| Kyujin | Maknae, Sub Vocal | Steady skill in the maknae line |
The core of NMIXX is MIXXPOP, colliding completely different genres inside one song. Sharply shifting structures like "DASH" and "See that?" are sometimes called distant from mainstream taste, but they spotlight exactly that much vocal and stage ability. The team's strength is clearly visible in their unwavering live delivery of demanding choreography and in dance and fancam clips.
The lead single of their first studio album "Blue Valentine," released in October 2025, reached No. 1 on the Circle Digital Chart — the group's first — and held the top for four weeks, proving both popular reach and skill. NMIXX also became the first K-pop girl group to throw the ceremonial first pitch and perform together at the Taipei Dome, showing the depth of their overseas fanbase.
On May 11, 2026 NMIXX released their fifth EP "Heavy Serenade" (6 tracks), preceded by the pre-release "Crescendo." The title track "Heavy Serenade" is a MIXXPOP number adding electronic textures to pop, and it hit No. 1 on the real-time Circle and Hanteo album charts right after release. Individual stages can be browsed under the Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin categories.
