BABYMONSTER is a seven-member multinational (Korea/Japan/Thailand) girl group under YG Entertainment. Touted as the next-generation act after BLACKPINK, they drew worldwide attention even before debut. With intense performance and a balance of vocal and rap ability across the members, they quickly outgrew rookie status, and together with IVE, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, and NMIXX they drive the later wave of the fourth generation.
They began as a six-member pre-debut on November 27, 2023 with the digital single "Batter Up," then officially debuted as a full seven with the maknae Ahyeon on April 1, 2024 with the EP "BABYMONS7ER." The official fandom name MONSTIEZ combines "MONS" from BABYMONSTER with "TIES," signifying the tight bond between the group and its fans.

Built on YG's signature hard-hitting sound and overwhelming performance, BABYMONSTER puts forward an "all-rounder" lineup in which every member handles vocal, rap, and dance evenly. They have widened their range from the provocative energy of "SHEESH" to the polished mood of "DRIP," and the team's firepower shows clearly in their sharp synchronized-dance fancams and dance covers.
Their debut track racked up 22.59 million YouTube views within 24 hours of release, the most first-day views for a K-pop debut song at the time. In 2026 the "CHOOM" music video crossed 100 million views in about 13 days — the fastest among K-pop music videos released that year — and their official YouTube channel passed 12 million subscribers, the third K-pop girl group to reach that mark.
On May 4, 2026 BABYMONSTER released their third EP "CHOOM," and on June 26, starting at Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Stadium, they launched their second world tour "CHOOM." The tour includes the group's first solo dome stages, such as a two-night run at Kyocera Dome Osaka in September, proving their upward momentum. Individual stages can be browsed under the Ahyeon, Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita categories.
